Green Party convention in Houston

The Green Party convention in Houston started yesterday.  On Saturday, they will nominate their presidential candidate and you will be able to live stream it online.  From The Green Party:

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Green Party will livestream the 2016 Green presidential nomination (Aug. 6) and other events at the Green Presidential Nominating Convention, set for August 4 to 7 in Houston, Texas. A final schedule of events open to media is appended below.

Viewers can watch the livestream broadcasts on the Green Party's YouTube page. Portions of the convention, including the nomination, will also be aired on the Green Party's Facebook page.

The Green convention will take place on the campus of the University of Houston in Texas. For a campus map, parking information, and directions, click here.
Dr. Cornel West and YahNé Ndgo will be the keynote speakers. Ms. Ndgo and Dr. West, former supporters of Bernie Sanders, will speak on Saturday, Aug. 6, before the nomination takes place.
The Green Party will hold press conferences featuring Green candidates for national, state, and local office, with a special press conference for Texas Green candidates on Friday morning, Aug. 5. Workshops and other events during the convention are also open to media.
Green candidates for public office at every level will be available for interview during the convention. Media are invited to cover the nomination on Saturday, August 6.

All events will take place in the Student Center on the campus of the University of Houston. Details are subject to change.
THURSDAY
Thursday, August 4
Onsite registration and check-in for media begin, 9 a.m., continuing throughout the convention.
Location: Student Center Lobby Entrance on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. After that in Multi-Purpose Room 237.

Press conference, 4 p.m. Introduction to the convention.

No formal events for media. Green candidates and leaders and convention guests will be available for interviews. Time should be arranged with interviewees in advance.

The Green Party's 2012 convention took place in Baltimore, Maryland. Green nominees in previous presidential election years were Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala (2012), Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente (2008), David Cobb and Pat LaMarche (2004), and Ralph Nader and Winona LaDuke (2000 and 1996).
